Catalysis Development and Synthesis, Advanced Catalyst Characterisation, gLFG synthesis
Our research group focuses on catalyst development for a range of substrates including conversion of sulfur compounds found in fuel through hydrodesulfurization and oxidative desulfurization and conversion of oxygen-containing compounds found in biocrudes.
Professor Tshentu’s expertise in GreenQUEST? My research group is involved in finding strategies for incorporation of palladium and nickel into the channels of zeolites as catalysts for application in gLFG production. We are engaged in a top-down approach in achieving the desired properties of metal-incorporated zeolites and characterization of the new materials is promising.
